£6,135 raised for the Poppy Appeal.
A big thank you to Trail Break & Swindon Cycles for such a great event, it was a pleasure to be able to help out and support a great cause. See below for comments from Trail Break –
“We’re delighted to announce that the final fundraising total for this year’s Ride to Remember for the Royal British Legion came to an incredible £6,135, making it the event’s most successful edition to date! The event raised £4,500 directly in donations from entries and t-shirt sales (boosted by our hosts Ramsbury Brewery generously sponsoring the full production cost of the t-shirts, meaning that every single penny raised from shirt sales could be donated to the charity). We at Trail Break are adding an extra £500 donation to that figure to bring it up to a full £5,000.
In addition, the Ramsbury British Legion raised £515 from your on the day donations and sales from their home made cake stall. And we want to give a big shout out to rider James Downey who started a JustGiving page to support his Ride to Remember and raised an amazing £620!
In total, this adds up to £6,135 generated by the event for this year’s Poppy Appeal. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, everyone who bought a t-shirt, and of course to Ramsbury Brewery and Swindon Cycles for their invaluable support of the event. We’ll see you again next year!”
Thank you to all the riders that took place, and friends and family who came to the brewery & distillery to show their support. We hope to be able to support again next year.
