With under 100 days to go, we are thrilled to announce that we are once again, the headline sponsors for the upcoming Newbury Show 2024.
What is the Newbury Show?
The event showcases all aspects of farming and rural life in the area. Including crops, agricultural technology, animals, artisan products, rural education, local produce and many other aspects of country life. The Show is a great day out with hours of entertainment for all ages. Entertainment includes main ring displays, shopping, a well stocked food hall, craft marquee, rural crafts, vintage displays and the popular ‘Grand Parade of Livestock’. As well as entertainment, the attendees also have the opportunity to learn and take part in workshops, seminars and discussions held by industry experts on subjects such as technological advancements and agricultural methodologies.
History of the Newbury Show:
The county show’s origins can be traced back to the 1800s when the first Berkshire Agricultural Society was formed, aiming to promote and advance agricultural knowledge and practices. Over the years, the show grew in prominence, serving as a platform for local farmers, breeders and artisans to showcase their finest produce, livestock and craftsmanship.
As time has gone on the show has adapted to reflect the evolving landscape of agriculture and community interests. It has expanded to incorporate modern farming techniques, innovative technologies, and diverse community engagement activities.
What role does Ramsbury Estates play in the event?
Made up of 19,000 acres of Northeast Wiltshire, our story is centered in the Kennet Valley. We are a company at the heart of the community, our aim is to educate and produce for the people around us. We cannot wait to showcase our produce including our award winning Gin and Vodka and our excellent beers. There will be a chance to sample both our new gins: Raspberry and Wildflower Honey and Lemon Balm Gin.
We are no stranger to hosting events, over the last year we have taken part in a variety of events including our Beer and Cocktail Festival, Swindon Cycles Trail Break and Local food and drink markets. Newbury Show will be just as great as ever and we can’t wait.
