Ramsbury Beer & Cocktail Festival – FAQ

Beer Festival 18th May 2024 FAQ

 

 

Tickets

This is a ticketed event so please either bring your printed copy or have your ticket ready for scanning on entry ready to show at the entrance.

Promotions

Our guest ale sale starts at 8:45pm on Saturday 18th till Sunday 3pm takeaway 5L of your favourite beer for £10 (Subject to availability)

Sunday brunch!

Farrs catering will be serving up breakfasts from 7am on Sunday!  Perfect if you are camping.  Shop opens 10am for the guest ale sale to continue!

Transport

Public transport operates from Marlborough, Hungerford & Swindon to the villages of Aldbourne & Ramsbury.

Tickets for coach transport from Aldbourne & Ramsbury has been organised to operate throughout the day with pick-ups and drop offs at The Bell in Ramsbury & The Crown in Aldbourne and are £5 return per seat, available to purchase online in advance via our website www.Ramsburyestates.co.uk

Ramsbury Brewery & distillery is also a short 2.5 mile walk or cycle ride from Aldbourne or Ramsbury villages.

Children

All our events at Ramsbury are family friendly and the festival welcomes well behaved children. There is no charge for babes in arms.

A range of child friendly activities will be provided during the afternoon by our Forest school team & Mr Muddle children’s entertainer will be in the garden from 2:00-4:30pm. A face painter will be in the garden 1pm – 5pm

Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. If your children are found to be disturbing the enjoyment of other festival goers, you may be asked to leave. The festival management take no responsibility for your children, parents/legal guardians remain responsible at all times.

Dogs

We are dog friendly too & our festival welcomes well behaved dogs on leads.

There is a track just outside the brewery & distillery grounds where dogs can be exercised and walked.

You are responsible for removing your dog’s waste.

If your dog is found to be disturbing the enjoyment of other festival visitors, we reserve the right to ask you to remove your dog from the site.

Drink

For speed of service our bars will be operating an eco-token payment system.  Tokens are £2 each & can be purchased using a debit/credit card from the main festival bar & entrance ticket collection point.

However please note, there is no cash machine on site. The nearest cash machines are at Hungerford, Chiseldon & Marlborough petrol stations. The local coop in Aldbourne offers cash back on purchases.

spirit & mixer 3 blue or pink tokens, (pink issued with G&T ticket entry only)

(Ice bucket refundable deposits 3 blue tokens)

NB Tokens are non-refundable.

There will be three bars on site: nationwide cask ale bar, Ramsbury cocktail bar &  Ramsbury festival bar.  Soft drinks will be available at all bars.

Food & treats

We are delighted to be supporting The General & Chopping block catering, two new local food traders alongside Henry Farr catering, Vanillo cookies & The Milk Yard Ice cream at the festival.

Henry Farr will be serving beef burgers, Ramsbury venison & pork burgers, pulled pork rolls, chips & breakfast baps.

The General will be serving Mexican tacos & Chopping board catering will be serving macaroni cheese balls, monkfish tails, chicken goujons & dirty fries.  George will have some gluten free brownies too!

For sweet treats, Vanillo will be selling flat cookies, stuffed cookies, gluten free cookies, vegan cookies & sugar free cookies.  We are proud to support The Milk Yard ice creams once again too.  Their delicious ice cream is produced on Ramsbury Estate land in Savernake.

A small tuck shop will be available too.

All traders & will be accepting cash or card.

Camping

Set up for camping is 10am – 12pm & must be clear by midday on Sunday 19th May.

Strictly no naked flames allowed anywhere on site at any time.   No noise after 11pm.   All litter must be taken back with you.  There are only basic temporary toilet facilities on the camping area.  No water or grey/black waste facility.  Our thanks to Ramsbury Electrical for sponsoring the lighting.

Music

Live music from local musicians will be playing throughout the day.  We are grateful to our sponsors BK Grain group for sponsoring the magnificent festival stage.

Toilets

Toilets are available 12pm – 9pm in the main events room & a temporary portaloo trailer is located in the main car park next to the camping area for those staying overnight.  Two temporary toilets will also be available at the entrance area.

Misbehaviour

Anyone found to be disturbing the enjoyment of other festival visitors, the Ramsbury brewing & distilling management reserve the right to ask you to leave. Should this be the case you will not be permitted to return to this years festival at any point.
The festival management reserve the right to call the police to remove anyone disrupting the event.

First aid & emergency 

Our first aid point is located at the main entrance

In case of an emergency, the meeting point is at the main car park/camping access point.
