New Beer for the New Year: Introducing Hopper

Posted 14 January 2020

As we head into what feels like the 94th  of January, we knew that by the middle of the month, the infamous ‘January Blues’ would definitely need to be kicked. Preemptively, we asked our head brewer, Dhiraj to come up with a new beer that would not only be ready for the bar in time, but one that would be big on flavour, but low on ABV. If you’re not doing Dry January (sterling effort if you are) at least you can feel a little less guilty with a slightly lighter beer…

The result of this is Hopper. We’ve jam packed this beer with Amarillo and Centennial hops, before dry hopping it with Mosaic and Citra too. With aromas of mango, grapefruit, peach and lime, you’d never guess that such a beer is only a 3.2% – but it is. The complex notes within Hopper combined with its low ABV means that it’s perfectly suited for enjoying throughout Jan, especially if the festive period was a particularly ‘heavy’ month, so to speak.

We’re already super fond of Hopper, it’s got the whole team here quite excited and we’re thinking it may become a regular brew, perhaps canned too. That’s if you like it as much as we do – if you’d like to try it it has already made its way to the pubs listed below:

  • The Bell, Ramsbury
  • The Wellington Arms, Marlborough
  • The Coopers Arms, Pewsey
  • The Red Lion, East Chisenbury
  • The Potting Shed, Malmesbury
  • The Raven, Bath
  • The Royal Oak, Great Wishford
  • The Hop Inn, Swindon

…Or head over to our Find a Pint page and find your closest pub with a pint of Ramsbury on the bar.
